Shalom and Welcome to the home of
Davidic Dancers of Rockford, IL.
Shekhina is a Hebrew word meaning, "G-d's Glory dwelling, settling, resting and abiding... as in a spiritual bridal chamber". The word Mishkan - Tabernacle - comes from the same root. The word also connotes a place of Royal, Kingly habitation... a glorious presence!
SHEKHINA! is devoted to preserving and presenting the dances of Israel - ancient and modern - as a witness to G-d's presence in the praises of His people. SHEKHINA! ministers with dance, flags, tambourines, streamers and other instruments of worship.
